Printed sneakers now? Yes, since we’re on the topic of printed shirts from last week.

Behold! Adidas makes a standout black and white printed sneaker for a easy $120. I mean $80.

Shit, now $70. You get the idea. I bought ‘em, filled them with SuperFeet, and haven’t took them off my paws since.

Black and white Stan Smith sneakers by Adidas, easy + simple Timex Weekender watch ($30 for the best watch ever), vintage leather pants from San Diego (cop a legit pair here, lol), plain white tee by Hanes (similar), and Uniqlo x Urban Sweats hoodie.

I couldn’t resist picking these up and swapping them out because my Nike polka dot ones were getting some serious wear.

Styling suggestions:

  • Keep it simple. Wear all black, white, and grey.
  • Match your ankle socks. And just wear black.
  • Clean them. Go buy your local Foot Locker and pick up an easy $10 cleaner. Keep ‘em fresh!
  • Say thank you. Because people will compliment and ask where you got the great shoes, dope kicks, fly feet. Whatever.

Feeling black, grey, & white? Cool, I’ve got a few favorites below the jump –>

Here’s what I will say about purchasing (investing?) in a printed shirt: You gotta love it.

I purchased this bird shirt on a trip to London in 2012 when I walked right into the Barbour store, saw a man wearing it and said, “I want that shirt.” I paid full price in pounds and didn’t look back. Why? Well, I fell in love and the associate told me a marvelous story about the bird shirt:

The Jackdaw print was created by Edwyn Collins, best known for his hit ‘A Girl Like You.’ A former member of the band Orange Juice, Collins suffered from a double brain hemorrhage in 2005. As part of his rehabilitation, Collins created these individual illustrations. Having heard his story, Liberty immortalized his illustrations for SS12.
It’s rad when brands develop product with a legit story behind it.

Fall baby, fall.

For days when I’m not feeling all neutral and minimal, I’ll always go back to an easy flannel, denim, vest and Red Wing boots look.
Black coffee and cigarettes not included.

On Jeff: American Apparel beanie, Warby Parker “Duckworth” eyeglasses, thrifted red flannel, Simon Spurr denim jacket, camo Moncler vest, black Acne “Mic” denim, Red Wing boots, and a sneaky Topo Designs backpack.
